GRIZ SOFTBALL FIELD
In 2015 the new University of Montana Softball program took the field for the first time, and Grizzly Softball Field was built as the new home for the fledgling sport next to South Campus Stadium, at the corner of Higgins and South Ave. in Missoula.
Grizzly Softball Field features a state-of-the-art artificial turf playing surface, the only one of it's kind in the Big Sky Conference. This allows the Griz to play in all types of Montana weather conditions.
The Montana Griz won their first ever home game at Grizzly Softball Field on March 23, with a 6-3 victory over the defending champion Idaho State Bengals. The win was also Montana's first ever Big Sky Conference win.
Grizzly Softball Field also features a one of a kind indoor batting facility that allows the Griz to practice year-round.
